East Budleigh have no new injury concerns ahead of their opening game against Honiton Town 2nds this Saturday.
After an intense pre-season and a successful transfer window, the Blue Jays are full of confidence going into the weekend and will be looking to bag all three points in front of what is set to be a capacity crowd at Vicarage Road.
Matt Jones’ side will be without Josh Whiller and Ben Wiltshire who are both ineligible after having problems securing work permits and Dan Atkinson is still out with a broken foot.
Captain Dan Reynolds will face a late fitness test on Saturday morning after aggravating a groin injury during the sides 2-1 defeat against Woodbury, but the medical team are confident he will be included.
Sky sources understand that Ben Wilks could be partnering Hugo Demetre in the attack with Ryan Britton and Brad Branton in contention to start in the midfield, in what is set to be a very attacking and youthful team.
East Budleigh manager Jones said: “It’s a fantastic place to be in as a manager because everyone is playing so well, nobody has a guaranteed starting place.
“The starting line-up will be based upon those who have impressed most during pre-season and whatever happens, we are going to have an extremely strong bench and we are all confident we can begin the campaign with a win.”
