Two goals in the opening ten minutes set East Budleigh up nicely for three points in this Macron Devon & Exeter League fixture at Vicarage Road last Saturday.
Man of the Match Brad Branton opened the scoring after just 4 minutes with a tidy right foot finish.
Six minutes later Ross Bright neatly tucked away the second for his first goal for the club.
Despite Budleigh’s advantage the visitors then had a good spell, but failed to take two gilt edged chances.
On 25 minutes the offside flag saw Branton denied his second after a good move involving Dan Atkinson and Steve Davey was also denied by the flag from a Charlie Copplestone free-kick.
The Budleigh defence were doing a sterling job with Paul May and Joe Day commanding at the back, In the midfield Rory Waite and Davey were strong in the tackle, whilst Atkinson was holding the ball up well in attack.
In the second half Atkinson came closest to adding to the score; respective crosses from Bright and Branton saw headers saved by the Amory keeper.
The final goal arrived four minutes from normal time when a Branton corner was eventually put away by Lewis Fletcher another defender scoring his first goal of the season.
With both of the referees watches stopping the visitors had to endure eight minutes extra of what was an excellent all round team display from Budleigh.
