East Budleigh Reserves took their unbeaten run to seven with a hard fought point at Chagford last Saturday.
Budleigh took a while to get into their stride and conceded a soft goal from a corner early on, but were level before the break when Man of the Match Dan Atkinson rose to head home a well struck free-kick from Steve Davey.
The Jays then had a good chance to restore the lead; Charlie Copplestone was taken down in the box, but Atkinson was unable to convert the spot kick.
Both sides again found the net in the second half; Budleigh’s goal saw Corbin Couch neatly slot the ball past the home keeper after latching onto a Brad Branton shot.
The last twenty minutes saw Budleigh defend well to preserve a fine point.
This Saturday Budleigh are on their travels again at Witheridge.
