East Budleigh Match Reports 23/09/17

DIV 8 – AMORY GREEN ROVERS 2 EAST BUDLEIGH RES 4
East Budleigh Reserves kept their unbeaten league record with a Kai Guise treble helping them to three points at Amory.
Budleigh went ahead early in the game with a smart flick from Guise, but were pegged back almost immediately.
Guise it was who struck again with a tidy finish from a one on one situation, before Dan Atkinson struck with a brilliant lob to give Budleigh a two goal cushion.
The Jays were made to sweat when the home side converted a penalty to make it 3-2.
It was left to Guise to complete a fine afternoon with another well taken goal volleying in from the edge of the box.
Despite the three points Manager Steve Davey called for a more clinical display this Saturday when they visit Culm United.
DIV 2- EAST BUDLEIGH 0 KENTISBEARE 4
East Budleigh will have been disappointed with this performance against Kentisbeare last Saturday losing four second half goals.
The first half saw Budleigh start okay, but the fluency and passing was not up to scratch as the away side took control.
Keeper Dean Rawlings made a good save to keep the scores level at the break.
The closest Budleigh came to a consolation was from player manager Matt Jones whose header was tipped onto the bar from Leigh Rice cross.
This Saturday Budleigh host Axminster and will look for a better all round effort.
